Site Launch


Today is the day! Not much to report in the news other than welcome if you somehow managed to stumble your way onto this site before I post this to itch.io! Feel free to take a look at the current playtest document for BoskAge.

Agatha, The Hedge Witch

The current design of the character art for the Hedge Witch Motif. This is the current art direction for BoskAge, with more grime and grunge to be added.

As of right now, the basic rules for players and game masters are available with examples of play. Most of the first 4 Motifs and Species are written with their Tags, but there are no creatures currently. Once all the initial Tags, Spells, and Techniques are created in rough format, some basic enemies will be written and I’ll do a proper launch of the site and the playtest through my itch.io, sharing it around online. All art is currently placeholder art, I’ll be replacing and rendering them out further and more detailed over time.

The breakdown for the current offerings of the playtest in it’s proper V1.0 will be:

  • 4 Motifs with 6 Tags each. (24 Tags)

  • 4 Species with 2 immediately available Tags and 5 Tags earnable via Corruption Tiers. (28 Tags)

  • 10 General Tags

  • 10 Spells

  • 10 Techniques

  • 4 Desires with 1 Negative Tag each and methods to earn advancement. (4 Tags)

So a total of 66 Tags, half of the planned amount for the full game, 10 spells, and 10 techniques! Hopefully a decent chunk to chew on. If I can squeeze it in, I also plan to get in a premade adventure (working title: A Snipe Hunt) to help facilitate playtesting by the end of December. Like my zine Bandits!, it will have a fully keyed map and encounters!

A Discord server will also be created in the near future!
